Medium
Instructions
Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka (or gin for a more botanical twist)
1 ounce fresh strawberry purée (or 3–4 muddled fresh strawberries)
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup (adjust depending on sweetness of strawberries)
1/2 ounce elderflower liqueur (such as St-Germain, optional but recommended)
Ice cubes
Garnish: fresh strawberry
Instructions:
Build the Flavor Base:
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh strawberries (if not using purée) with the simple syrup and lemon juice until well combined.
Add the Spirit:
Pour in the vodka and elderflower liqueur.
Add Ice and Shake:
Fill the shaker with ice cubes, seal tightly, and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until chilled and slightly frothy.
Strain:
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass or a rocks glass filled with fresh ice to remove seeds and pulp.
Garnish:
Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a lemon wheel. Add a mint sprig for a brighter aroma if desired.
Notes:
Balance & Flavor:
Strawberry Fields is bright, fruity, and lightly floral, with fresh berries taking center stage and citrus adding a crisp finish.
Strawberry Tip:
Use ripe, in-season strawberries for the best flavor. If they’re not very sweet, increase the simple syrup slightly.
Flavor Variations:
Swap vodka for white rum for a softer, tropical feel, or use sparkling wine instead of shaking for a bubbly spritz version.
